Sustainable Spices Initiative
Sustainable Spices Initiative (SSI) is an initiative by Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) in 2012, head-quartered in Utrecht, Netherland. It has been operating in India and Vietnam before being established in Indonesia in 2021 (Sustainable Spices Initiative-Indonesia/SSI-I).
Indonesia has a wide variety of spices with a myriad of benefits. it is our duty, the people of Indonesia, to ensure that the archipelago's spices are sustainable for a more beautiful future of Indonesian spices. We recognize the potential of the country's spice resources, and with that in mind, we will channel all our efforts and time to continuously raise awareness of Indonesia's spice wealth through close cooperation with farmers, government agencies, and private companies to ensure sustainable spice resources. Sooner or later, we have a responsibility to make a meaningful change. It's time for renewable Indonesian spices.
