Andaliman is an Indonesian exotic spice that only grows in the highlands of Toba. This species is a close relative to the popular Szechuan Pepper. MIO has worked directly with Andaliman pepper farmers in Ria Ria village since 2018.

We aim to highlight the lesser known exotic Indonesian spice and the farmers behind the product, including how they live and grow the plant semi-wild in the forest close to their village.

• We build projects from the ground-up and involve all the stakeholders with the farmers in the center.
• We have organized and integrated the farmers groups to ensure sustainable business and operations.
• We are committed to this project long-term since there is enormous potential within the farmer community.
• We are committed to implement a fair price and fair trade value with the farmers.
